Nofelydd Cymreig yw Geraint Evans, sy'n adnabyddus am ei ffuglen dditectif. Fe'i fagwyd ger Rhydaman, ac mae e'n byw yn Nhal-y-bont, Ceredigion. Bu'n ddarlithydd yn Adran Astudiaethau Gwybodaeth, Prifysgol Aberystwyth, ac yn Warden ar Neuadd Breswyl Pantycelyn (1997–2003). Dechreuodd ysgrifennu ffuglen ar ôl ymddeol o'r byd academaidd.
