Gary Hirshberg

Gary Hirshberg is an American entrepreneur and environmental activist. He is the co-founder, chairman, and former CEO of Stonyfield Farm, an organic yogurt producer based in New Hampshire, United States.

Gary Hirshberg is known for his efforts in promoting sustainable agriculture and organic food. He played a major role in building Stonyfield Farm into one of the most successful organic brands in the country. He also co-founded the organic and natural foods crowdfunding platform, Stonyfield Organic Farmers, and served as the chairman of Just Label It, a national coalition advocating for the labeling of genetically engineered foods.

Gary Hirshberg became involved in the organic food industry after meeting Samuel Kaymen, one of the founders of Stonyfield Farm. He was inspired by Kaymen's organic farming and yogurt-making practices and together they built Stonyfield Farm into a successful organic brand.
