Biography

Frederick Thomas Fisher, (June 3, 1872 – April 15, 1906) was a gunner's mate in the United States Navy who received the Medal of Honor for his actions aboard USS Philadelphia (C-4) during the Philippine-American War.

Biography

Fisher was born June 3, 1872, in England and after immigrating to the United States he joined the U.S. Navy. During the Philippine-American War, he was assigned as a gunner's mate first class to the USS Philadelphia (C-4).

His medal was awarded to him April 1, 1899, by President Theodore Roosevelt.

Fisher died on April 15, 1906 while serving aboard the USS Kearsarge (BB-5) and was possibly buried at Guantánamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba.
