Biography
Fiona O'Keeffe (born May 24, 1998) is an American long-distance runner. She won the 2024 United States Olympic trials in the marathon in her debut.
Career
As a prep for Davis Senior High School, O'Keeffe won the 2016 CIF California State Meet title in the 3200 metres and was a two-time state cross country champion. She also ran 15:56.84 for 5000 metres at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships, making her the 6th-fastest high school performer of all time.
O'Keeffe committed to the Stanford Cardinal track and field program from 2016 to 2019. At Stanford, she qualified for six NCAA Division I championships, with a best placing of 3rd at the 2019 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 5000 m.
On February 3, 2024, O'Keeffe won the 2024 United States Olympic trials marathon in Orlando, Florida, qualifying her to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics. It was her first marathon, having qualified for the trials with a half marathon result.
