Early career
Fabio Cavalli started start-ups operating in the real estate, leisure sport, design and information technology fields.
Mondobiotech
In 2001, Fabio Cavalli co-founded Mondobiotech, as CEO and Chief Business Architect.This company proposed alternative remedies for rare “orphan” diseases. He registered 321 licences for the application of human peptides as medicaments for rare diseases. Under Fabio Cavalli’s direction, Mondobiotech entered the SIX Swiss Exchange, starting August, 26th 2009and was awarded in 2008 with Central Switzerland Chamber of Commerce prize “Zentralschweiz Innovationspreis”. In 2011, Cavalli decided to leave the project, in order to follow further professional and personal paths.
Personal life
Fabio Cavalli is married and has two children. In the 1980s he was a car rally challenger and champion.
Philanthropy
In 2011 Fabio Cavalli founded, together with his wife Vera, a no-profit organisation called Cavalli Foundation, aiming to give help to all those affected by rare diseases.
In that same year he joined Clinton Global Initiative.
