Biography
Erik Aldar Locke is an Australian political figure, who was the State Secretary of the Australian Labor Party in Victoria.
Locke was an adviser and Chief of Staff to Lynne Kosky, the Victorian Education Minister and later became ALP State Secretary. He resigned from that position early April 2005. During his period as State Secretary, a preference deal between the ALP and the Family First Party gave them a Senator ahead of the Greens. He is a leading figure within its Socialist Left faction. He was accused of being an author of an anonymous website Slandersyou, an accusation he denied.
He subsequently was the CEO of CPR Communications and Public Relations, a Federal Chief of staff, the lead of Essential Media Communication's union practice and was an unsuccessful candidate for the ALP in the Legislative Council at the 2014 Victorian election.
Locke now runs his own Public Relations Consulting firm, PrincipledPR while working as Director of Marketing and Communications at Professionals Australia.
