Eric Schultz

Eric Schultz (born 1980) is a former White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary and special assistant to President Obama. He was Press Secretary for Senator Charles Schumer from January 2005 to April 2006 and Communications Director from May 2006 to April 2007. He was Deputy Campaign Manager for Al Franken during his successful run for the Minnesota Senate in 2008. He went on to be The Communications Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee from February 2009 to March 2011 and the Associate Communications Director at the White House from April 2011 to July 2014. After White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest replaced Jay Carney to become White House Press Secretary, Schultz was appointed White House Deputy Press Secretary.
