Biography
Sir Emanuel Felix Agar (1781 – 28 August 1866) was a British politician and former soldier.
Agar served in the British Army and took part in the Peninsular War. He retired as major of the Life Guards and worked then in the department of the Treasurer of the Navy. Having stood unsuccessfully for Sudbury already in 1806, he entered the British House of Commons for it in the following year and represented the constituency until the general election of 1812, when he lost his seat. In the latter year, Agar was created a Knight Bachelor.
He died, aged 85, at Stratford Place, his wife Margaret having predeceased him in 1863.
