Biography

Elżbieta Żebrowska (born 27 March 1945) is a former Polish athlete, sprinter, and hurdler. She was born as Elżbieta Bednarek in Warsaw, Poland. She was a gold medalist at the 1966 European Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary where she competed 4 × 100 metres relay with Danutą Straszyńską, Ireną Kirszenstein and Ewą Kłobukowską and she won the bronze medal for the 80 metres hurdles. She competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico with 80 metres hurdles where she finished at the 7th place with the world record time of 10 minutes and 7 seconds.
