Biography
Elena Favilli is the co-author of the global bestseller “Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls”. She has worked for Colors magazine, McSweeney's, RAI, Il Post, and La Repubblica, and has managed digital newsrooms on both sides of the Atlantic. She holds a master's degree in semiotics from the University of Bologna (Italy) and she studied digital journalism at U.C. Berkeley. In 2011, she created the first iPad magazine for children, Timbuktu magazine. She is founder and CEO of Timbuktu Labs, which she created with her partner Francesca Cavallo.
Elena is the co-creator of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, the most crowdfunded book of all times. Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls was published by Timbuktu Labs in November 2016.
Her work has been translated in 30 languages (including Faroese and Welsh).
Elena was born in Montevarchi (Italy) and she lives in Venice, California.
