Biography
Eduard Josef Gübelin (1913 – 2005) was a gemstone researcher. His lifelong studies on gemstone inclusions changed the science of gemology, and his work laid the groundwork for the microscopic identification of all kinds of gemstones. He achieved world renown in the field of gemology with his scientific work and his collection of gems.
He also founded Gübelin Gem Lab.
