Biography
Tenzing Sherpa popularly known as DJ Tenzing is the first DJ of Nepal. Since 1992 he has been actively working as a disc jockey. So far he has done more than 1000 stage programs inside the country and more than 30 different countries in the world.
Biography
Dj Tenzing lives in Kathmandu with his family. He started his career from Jolly Blues pub, which was the first discotheque in the city. He has travelled to the United States of America, United Kingdom, Republlic of Korea, Japan, Israel, Germany, Belgium, France, Lexumberg, Portugal, Spain, Netherland, Hong Kong, Qatar, and India for his shows.
He has performed the shows with the name “DJ Tenzing all Nepal Tour” with several popular singers of Nepal which have been featured in his album “DJ Tenzing for his album promotional shows.
He has done a show at Everest Base Camp (EBC) with the name Stop Global Warming Save the Himalayan from EBC to different parts of the city in Nepal.
He was one the judge in the reality show “War of DJ” series which was telecast on various National Television stations. War of DJ was the program all about battles between upcoming DJs in the country. The show was on air continuously in the years 2010, 2011, and 2012. He was a judge in the three years continuously.
He has been actively doing the show in Thamel every year since 2010 to 2015 in the name of Thamel Street Festival.
History
- 1992-1999
He has worked in Club Jolly Blues at Thamel, Kathmnadu. During that time it was not much professional equipment and DJs as well.
- 1999-2002
After working in Jolly Blues for about 7 years he joined club X-zone Durbar Marg, Kathmandu where he played around 3 years
- 2002-2007
He again joined Hyatt Regency Kathmandu and worked as Disk Jockey in the Rox Bar.
- 2007-2008
Later he joined club platinum at Hotel Yak and Yeti for a year
