Biography

Dirty Dennis Allen (born Dennis Alan Bunt on October 25, 1968 in Catskill, New York) is an American retired professional wrestler.Allen trained at the legendary Monster Factory in the late 1980s.Allen worked closely with Larry Sharpe and Charlie Fulton.

Career

After graduating from high school, he moved to Florida to train as a wrestler.He traveled to south Florida to Global Championship Wrestling where he met workers such as Tom Nash, David Heath, Rusty Brooks, Dr. Red Roberts, and Boris Malenko.Allen would begin his training with Cliff Sheats (a.k.a. Cliff Anderson) in Fort Pierce.Learning the basics in an old WWF ring purchased by Sheats. This did not pan out and Allen moved back to Cherry Hill, New Jersey in December 1987, where he took a job as a transit-man for a Survey Company. While working in Deptford Township, Allen saw a WWA Flyer promoting wrestling at the Woodbury National Guard Armory.He attend the show and found out the show was booked by "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe, who also ran the Monster Factory.In October 1988 Allen went to the Monster Factory in Paulsboro for an open tryout.Waiting through 27 prospective wrestlers, Allen spoke to Sharpe and explained that he had trained in Florida but had to move back to New Jersey.Sharpe gave Allen a tryout match against Anthony Durante (a.k.a. Pitbull #2).After the match, Sharpe offered Allen a match.Allen accepted and found out the match was just three days later against veteran Larry Winters. Allen was given the gimmick of Dennis Condrey, Jr. a reference to wrestler Dennis Condrey, best known as a member of The Midnight Express and began training at the Monster Factory while wrestling for Sharpe's WWA promotion.After a few months Allen changed his name to Dynamite Dennis Allen after a brief confrontation in Philadelphia involving promoter Dennis Coralluzzo and Dennis Condrey. Allen wrestled with numerous Monster Factory students such as: The Pitbulls, Ray Odyssey, Johnny Hot Body, Tony Stetson, Mark Boswell, Joe Daniels, Sonny Austin, Chief Thunder Mountain, Hoss, Frank Angel and Jungle Jim MacPherson.Allen would help in future students training including Tatanka, The God Father, and 911 (Al the Sledgehammer during his tenure at the Factory.

1988–1990

In addition to wrestling for WWA, Dennis also wrestled for several independent promotions, such as:ICW, USWA (Bob Raskin), IWA (Rob Russin) and the PCW (Jimmy Deo).His wrestling schedule had him wrestling shows from Maine to Maryland.Allen also picked up a job as Ring Crew Leader (of the Northeast) for WCW (a.k.a. NWA) along with Chris Candido.This job required him to deliver the ring and set it up for shows.It also gave him a chance to wrestle whenever there was a vacancy.In 1988, Dennis got his chance to work with the WWF as a jobber.Dennis attendedTV tapings and house shows and wrestled numerous matches between 1988 and 1993 in.During these years Dennis manage to wrestle some of the sport's best, such as Barry Windham, Kendall Windham, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Jake Roberts, Brutus Beefcake, Akeem (a.k.a. One Man Gang), Kevin Sullivan, Buzz Sawyer, The Dragon Master, The Bushwhackers, Sycho Sid, Bad News Allen,Larry Cameron, Trucker Norman, The Samoan Swat Team and Manny Fernandez. Dennis relocated to Florida in October 1990 to work for the Tampa-based PWF.

Florida Independents: 1990–2012

In October 1990, Allen moved to Florida. Upon his arrival, he immediately started wrestling for Independents and freelance shows with the NWA & WWF. Allen began working shows for locally based TCWA and traveling to Tampa.This is where his feud with Cliff Anderson (a.k.a. Cliff Sheats) began. Allen and Anderson wrestled each other all over the state. Florida proved to be a great fit for Allen, and this is where he became Dirty Dennis Allen. Allen wrestled for countless independent promotions, including the IWF, FWF, FWA, FOW, CCW, FSPWA, USX, SWF and IPW.Between 1993 & 1996 Allen also formed a tag team with "Classy" Chris Nelson known as The Hitmen. From 1996 to 1998 Allen found another partner in "Stretcher" Chris Michaels and form the Thrillseekers.In 1999, Allen signed with the FOW & FWA as a singles wrestler.Later that year, he won the FWA Heavyweight Title, FSPWA Hardcore Title, and FOW World Title, holding all 3 titles at the same time. After losing the FWA Title to Hack Meyers, Allen quickly replaced it by defeating the giant Cyborg for the FPW Title.Allen also began a feud with Billy Fives that would see the two wrestlers battle for three years in various specialty matches.Late in 2001, Allen formed yet another tag team, joining up with "Sycho" Sean Allen to form Suicidal Tendencies. Dennis and Sean teamed together until 2004, holding a number of independent tag team titles along the way including The F.O.W. six man Tag Team titles teaming up with Sean Allen and his own 8-year-old Son Dynamite Derek Allen. In October 2004, Dennis reunited with Chris Nelson and brought back The Hitmen 2000.The Hitmen won the FWA Tag Team Titles and held them until the promotion's end in 2005.Allen would wrestle singles for various independent promotions across the state.Allen had matches against wrestling stars such as Blackjack Mulligan, Steve Kiern, Brian Blair, Bugsy McGraw, Hack Myers, Earthquake, and Typhoon.In an FOW Battle Royale at the Davie Rodeo Arena Allen would join forces with Terry Funk to beat up Shaggy 2 Dope (Insane Clown Posse) and eliminate him from the match.

On February 1, 2007, Dennis Allen announced his retirement from the ring due to injuries suffered to his right knee.On February 13, 2007, Allen underwent Total Knee Replacement Surgery.

August 12, 2008 Dennis was offered the position as the Commissioner for Division 1 Professional Wrestling. He was to make his first appearance on August 16, 2008. This did not happen and Dennis stayed retired.He began making wrestling belts.

Comeback in FOW, USX, and Booker: 2011-2013

On January 17, 2011- Dennis signed to compete in the FOW Heavyweight Champions Battle Royale. After the match Dennis signed a 1-year deal with the FOW and form the tag team The Dirty Outlaws with FOW Legend JR James.After several prelim matches The Dirty Outlaws squared off against The Red Devil Fight Team on Veterans Day.The Outlaws won the match, but would split a few months later.Dennis would again join Sean and bring back Suicidal Tendencies.Dennis would also be ranked #467 in PWI's Top 500 wrestlers for 2011.Dennis also appeared on the debut show for the USX. He also was crowned as the FOW OLD SCHOOL CHAMPION in November 2012. Allen was hired by the EWA Elite Wrestling Association in 2013 to book matches and run the locker room.Allen brought wrestlers from all over the state including Kevin Sullivan, Bushwacker Luke, and Tomko.In August 2013 Allen parted ways with the EWA.The EWA brought talented workers both young and old school.Allen booked shows using the likes of The Snakemaster, Sean Allen, Shawn Prime, The Highwaymen, Frankie Reyes, Adam Reyes, Mark Boswell and Kevin Sullivan.The owners of the EWA closed down because they did not like the location.Allen believed it was because they did not want to ride out the hard times of starting a new promotion. He resurfaced to book a show for the FSPWA in Plant City, Fl again bring in local talent from around the state.He was the ref for the main event which featured his 2 former partners Chris Michaels and Chris Nelson.He has not stepped in a ring since that time.

Life after wrestling

As of 2013 Allen has quit wrestling.Allen dabbled in creating Championship Belts as a hobby. Allen has been married twice and has four children; three from his first marriage (all in their 20s) and one from his second marriage (10).Allen has created a Dirty Dennis Allen Facebook page and has numerous videos on YouTube.

Allen became a Code Enforcement Officer in the State of Florida in 1995 currently he is the Code Enforcement Supervisor of Cocoa, FL.
