Biography
Dipak Mandal (also misspelled as 'Dipak Mandol' and 'Deepak Mandal') is a film editor based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He has edited more than 50 Indian films in several languages (including Bengali, Assamese, Hindi, and English). Many of the movies edited by him, including Satarupa Sanyal's Onyo Opalaa (2015), Bappaditya Bandopadhyay's Sohra Bridge (2015) and Elar Char Adhyay (2012) were selected for the Indian Panorama Film Festival in 2015 and 2012.
He also edited the National Award winning movie Houseful (2009) directed by Bappaditya Bandopadhay. He was a long time associate of the late director with whom he worked from 2009 to 2015.
He has also edited for directors like Hiren Bora in Khobh (2014) and Somnath Sen in Atmogopon (2011).
Recently, he edited Guha Manob (The Cave Man) for Paromita Munshi and River of Darkness (2016) for Satarupa Sanyal both of which were selected for the Kolkata International Film Festival in 2016.
