Biography
Diana Renee Alouise is an American comedian, author, celebrity hairstylist, actress, and producer. She is most known for stand-up comedy, at notable locations such as the Hollywood Improv.
Hairstyling career
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Diana dropped out of school at 17. By the age of 19, with no formal training, she launched a career as a hair and makeup artist in Beverly Hills. A co-owner of the Bumble and Bumble salon offered her an apprenticeship that involved on-the-job training, and an eventual cosmetology license in the State of California. As she recalls, They [the Bumble and Bumble co-owners] had me sign an affidavit proclaiming I was a South African resident who went to the Waverly Girls High School in Johannesburg, completed my cosmetology license there, and worked as a full-time hairdresser at Bumble and Bumble. This way, I could legally transfer my license over to California.
In 1984 she moved to Umberto, the spacious salon opened by Umberto Savone on Cañon Drive in Beverly Hills. She currently owns Shampoo, a salon in Truckee, California, and continues to style celebrity clients in the Los Angeles area.
