Dexter Leung

Biography
Dexter Leung Yu-lung (MBChB, FRCOphth (Lond), FRCS RCPS (Glas), MRCS (Edin)) is a Chinese professor of ophthalmology and a president of the Hong Kong Ophthalmological Society.
Early life and career
Leung attended Queen Elizabeth School, Hong Kong from 1983 to 1989 and then graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997 with honours in biomedical sciences and medicine. After graduation, he had joined the Hospital Authority and served as their physician in the Tung Wah Eastern Hospital Lo Ka Chow Memorial Eye Center and then was transferred to the Hong Kong Eye Hospital. He was the president of the Shaw College Alumni Association and assistant consultant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. From 2014 to 2015 Dexter held a position of vice president of the Hong Kong Ophthalmological Society and subsequently became its President. As of 2017 he serves as a chairman of the associate advisory committee at the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery.
Honours
Leung is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
