Denise Gentile is an American television actress known for playing "Lise Hampton," the romantic partner of protagonist Michael Garibaldi (played by Jerry Doyle) on the sci-fi television series Babylon 5.
Career
Gentile made her acting debut in 1989, playing the character of "Vanessa DeFranco" in the hit television drama series Santa Barbara; she was seen in 17 episodes.
Over the following years, she was seen in numerous well-run TV series such as My Two Dads (1989-1990), Who's the Boss? (1990), Monsters (1991), Quantum Leap(1991), Dallas (1991), Melrose Place (1992), Murder, She Wrote (1994-1995), and Suddenly Susan (1996).
In 1994, she landed the recurring role of "Lise Hampton" in the television sci-fi series Babylon 5. Hampton, a Mars-born human, is involved in a romantic relationship with Michael Garibaldi (played by Jerry Doyle) and later, in the year 2260, with William Edgars (portrayed by Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) whom she marries and moves into his house in Marsdome. She was seen in 9 episodes in the years 1994-1998.
In 1997, Gentile was seen in "Man's Best Same Sex Companion" episode of The Drew Carey Show, appearing alongside Diedrich Bader, Christa Miller, Bonnie Hellman, Ryan Stiles, and Kathy Kinney among others.
Gentile was last seen on the silver screen in 2010 in one of the primary characters alongside Dax Shepard and David Sheridan in director Kevin Donovan's short film Shrink Test.
