Biography

Davina Lefroy (born 18 June 1981) is an Australian Paralympic rower. She represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Personal

Lefroy was born on 18 June 1981. At the age of eleven years, she was diagnosed with Stargart macular dystrophy. This has led to a gradual deterioration of central sight and left her with peripheral vision only. She attended St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls.She has a Masters in Applied (Clinical) Psychology from Murdoch University after completing an Arts Degree and an Undergraduate in Psychology. She has a clinical psychology practice in Perth, Australia.

Career

Lefroy rowed during her high school years. In early 2016, she was invited to trial Australian Para-Rowing LTA Mixed trials.She combined with Brock Ingram, Jeremy McGrath, Kathleen Murdoch and coxswain Jo Burnand in the Legs, Trunk and Arms Mixed Coxed Four ( LTAMix4+) to win the Final Paralympic Qualification Regatta in April 2016.At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, Lefroy was a member of the LTA Mixed Coxed Four that finished first in the LTAMix4+ B Final.

In 2016, she is a Western Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.
