David Mobley is an American songwriter, producer and musician born in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in Texas.
Career
Musician and Songwriter/Producer David Mobley has been in the music industry since 1965 and is credited as one of the early pioneer founders of 'atmospheric melodic rock'. Mobley has been referred to as 'legendary ' throughout the music biz. due to some of the visionary work, past and present, that he's done in the studio over the years on many different projects... David formed his first band, 'The Excels' in 1965. Mobley later formed the 'The Illusions' in 1969. After 'The Illusions' three-year run, Mobley finally formed the non-touring pop/rock songwriting and recording group 'Crosswindz' in 1972. Crosswindz recorded their first album titled "High Park" in 1972. They released their second album "Hot Acoustic Nite" in 2003, and their third album "The Dark Side of Day" in 2011.
Mobley was one of the Executive Producers on Burt Reynolds motion picture titled "Deal" released in 2008, Mobley also wrote the entire soundtrack for the New York award winning motion picture "Deliberate Conduct". He wrote, co-wrote, produced and co-produced as well as acted as Executive Producer on many EPs, CDs, and Vinyl from 1972 to present. Some include Crosswindz "High Park" Vinyl, "Hot Acoustic Nite" CD, "Dark Side of Day" CD; State of Whatever "Lifeless" CD; Dave Evans/Johnny Nitzinger "Revenge" CD; Dave Evans (co-founder and original lead vocalist of AC/DC) "What About Tomorrow" CD; Todd Rundgren "{re}Production" CD;... Mobley also produced and was involved in several music videos. Some include "Revenge" (Evans/Nitzinger); "What About Tomorrow" (Crosswindz) and (Dave Evans); "Your Are So Real" (Crosswindz); "Hot Acoustic Nite" (Crosswindz) and (Dave Evans); "Casino River" (Crosswindz); "Homeless" (Crosswindz); "Cabin Fever" (David Mobley); "Tell Me A Lie" (Crosswindz) and (Dave Evans); "Here I Come" (State Of Whatever), (Crosswindz) and (Dave Evans); and AC/DC's co-founder and original lead vocalist Dave Evans hit album "What About Tomorrow" which Mobley also wrote, arranged and produced. David also acted as Producer and Executive Producer on the Evans/Nitzinger album 'Revenge' which was an immediate worldwide hit and was quickly picked up and signed by the Bad Reputation Records label out of Paris, France...
Mobley also founded several music-related radio shows – including The David Mobley Show, The Songwriters Webcast, Oldies Goldie's Radio and David Mobley Radio... The David Mobley penned 'Cabin Fever' and 'What About Tomorrow' tracks performed by AC/DC co-founder and former lead singer Dave Evans can also be heard as the opening and closing theme songs for the hit TV series 'True Ghost Stories' and the David Mobley/Jon Pugh penned 'Here I Come' track - also performed by AC/DC co-founder and lead singer Dave Evans can be heard as the opening and closing theme song on the TV series 'Moon Lit Paranormal'...
