David Afflick

Biography
David Afflick is an American actor, comedian and a full-time high school English teacher.
Education
Afflick attended Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts, and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In the years 2004–2006, he attended the University of Phoenix, Arizona, graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Education. In addition, he received English teaching certifications from Massachusetts Department of Education (2004,) Arizona Department of Education (2006,) and NH English Language Arts Teacher (2011.)
As an actor, Afflick was trained with American casting director Reno Venturi (of The Actors Gym in Connecticut) and American actor Steve Blackwood.
Career
Teaching
After working with Mental Health Systems (1999-2002,) and Ocean Tides Inc, Narragansett, Rhode Island (2002-2006,) Afflick began teaching English at Massachusetts public schools, in 2006. After working in the sports/athletic department at Boston Public Schools from 2009 to 2010, he joined Bishop Brady High School in Concord, New Hampshire as English Language Arts Educator in August 2011.
Since October 2019, he is with Rundlett Middle School, Concord, New Hampshire, as Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher.
Acting
Afflick took on acting while working as a teacher at Bishop Brady High School. In 2011, he performed on stage in the played the character of "Lyman Sanderson" in the play Harvey (written by American playwright, Mary Chase.) The following year, in 2012, he made his film debut with a minor role in Seth MacFarlane's comedy film, Ted (starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.) The same year he appeared in one of the lead roles, of the elder version of character "Henry" (played by Charlie Tacker,) in the short drama film Henry & Ethos.
In 2014, Afflick made his television debut appearing as "Harry" in The Insane Wife episode (September 2014) of the television series In the Bedroom.
After appearing in a variety of television shows, short films and feature films, such as Caped Crusader: The Dark Hours (2014,) Point Society (2015,) and Live by Night (2016,) he landed the recurring role of "Greg" in the television series The Girl in the Attic. He he was seen in 16 episodes of the series, from December 2016 to July 2018.
Most recently, Afflick was seen portraying the character of "Cecil" in Jason Walsh-directed short film Irreparable. He has also finished filming for television horror series The Resurrection of Victoria Wheeler. The series is directed by Seth Chitwood and has Afflick, Wendy Hartman, and Sheri Lee in the lead roles.
Afflick with also be seen in the films I Am Monroe? (as Arthur,) First Signal (as a secret service agent,) and Escape 2120 (as Samuel.) The films are currently in post-production phase, with the release date yet to be announced.
Comedian
Afflick is also a stand-up comedian and performs regularly at venues in the New Hampshire-area.
