Danny Scordato

Danny Scordato (born June 28, 1996) is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer. He has released six singles, in addition to one single under the name "Sound Parlor".

Scordato was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and currently lives in New York City. Both of his parents are musicians and he is largely self taught. In 2007, he released a self titled album consisting of ten songs. At the time of release he was 12 and wrote, produced and played all of the instruments. After the CD, he began working as a session musician in recording studios around Florida. Between 2009 and 2016, He recorded piano, bass, guitar, drums and vocals on dozens of albums for independent artists, as well as toured nationally as the guitarist for Macy Kate. He attended Gibbs High School for the performing arts program. Through his first band, "Sound Parlor", Scordato has performed with Rick Derringer, Jeff Skunk Baxter, Barry Goudreau, and opened for Marty Balin, Austin Mahone, Cheap Trick and Sly Stone. He has stated that his influences include: Steely Dan, The Beatles, Prince, and Harry Nilsson. His songwriting style is known to include humorous themes and lyrics, overtop funk/pop instrumentations. Creative Loafing referred to his style as: “A mix of Chromeo’s white boy strut, Pharrell’s mainstream groove appeal and his own most adorable quasi-serious soul.” Scordato also briefly studied mixing with Berklee College of Music.
