Biography

General Sir Cyril Dupré Noyes KCSI CB CIE MC (13 February 1885 – 1946) was a British officer in the Indian Army.

Military career

Noyes joined the Royal Garrison Artillery but transferred to the 2nd Queen Victoria's Own Rajput Light Infantry. He became Commander of 2nd Indian Infantry Brigade in 1935. He served in World War II as Deputy Quartermaster-General at Army Headquarters India from 1939, as Director of Movements & Quartering at Army Headquarters, India from 1940 and as a District Commander in India from 1941. He went on to be Quartermaster-General at Army Headquarters, India in 1942 and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief North Western Army in 1942. He retired in 1943 and died in 1946.
