Biography
Claire Bowern is a linguist who works with Australian indigenous languages.
Bowern received her PhD from Harvard University in 2004 for her research on the historical morphology of complex verb constructions in non-Pama-Nyungan languages. She is currently an associate professor at Yale University, and also serves as the vice president of the Endangered Language Fund.
