Christopher John Pearce (born 1 March 1963), Australian politician, was a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives representing the Division of Aston, Victoria from July 2001, when he retained the seat for the Liberal Party in the 2001 Aston by-election, to his retirement in 2010.
Biography
Pearce was born in Lismore, New South Wales, and was educated at Monash University in Melbourne. He was a business executive for software company BEA Systems before entering politics, and was a member of the Knox City Council from 1997 to 2000.
In the parliament, Pearce was Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer from October 2004 to December 2007. On 22 September 2008 he was appointed Shadow Minister for Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law after Malcolm Turnbull won the Liberal leadership.
Pearce did not re-contest his seat at the 2010 federal election.
