Andury Acevedo

Andury Junior Acevedo (born August 23, 1990) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Acevedo signed as an international free agent with the New York Yankees as a shortstop. They converted him into a pitcher in 2012. He became a free agent after the 2015 season. The Cubs signed him to a major league contract, adding him to their 40-man roster to protect him from being eligible to be selected in the Rule 5 draft.

Corey Black

Corey William Black (born August 4, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Black attended San Diego State University before transferring to Faulkner University. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the fourth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut for the Gulf Coast Yankees. He also pitched for the Staten Island Yankees and Charleston RiverDogs that season. Overall, he started 12 games, going 2–2 with a 3.08 earned run average (ERA) and 50 strikeouts in 52 2⁄3 innings.

Black started 2013 with the Tampa Yankees. On July 26 he was traded to the Chicago Cubs for Alfonso Soriano. He was assigned to the Daytona Cubs. In 24 starts, he went 7–8 with a 3.93 ERA and 116 strikeouts over 107 2⁄3 innings. He spent both the 2014 and 2015 seasons with the Tennessee Smokies. In 2016, Black was then promoted to the Iowa Cubs, where he posted an 0-3 record with a 3.15 ERA.

Víctor Caratini

Víctor Manuel Caratini (born August 17, 1993) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Caratini was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the second round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft out of Miami Dade College. He made his professional debut that season with the Danville Braves. After primarily playing third base his first season, Caratini played mostly as a catcher in 2014. He started the season with the Rome Braves. On July 31, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs for Emilio Bonifacio and James Russell. The Cubs sent him to the Kane County Cougars, where he finished the season. Caratini spent the 2015 season with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans where he batted .257, with 4 home runs and 53 RBI's. He spent the 2016 season with the Tennessee Smokies, where be batted .291 with 6 homers and 47 RBI's. After the 2016 season, Caratini played for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League and was added to the Cubs 40-man roster.

Trevor Clifton

Trevor Blaine Clifton (born May 11, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Clifton attended Heritage High School in Maryville, Tennessee. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 12th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Cubs and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Cubs. He spent 2014 with the Boise Hawks and 2015 with the South Bend Cubs. Clifton spent 2016 with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. He finished the season with a 7-7 record and a 2.72 ERA.

Oscar De La Cruz

Oscar Eduardo De La Cruz (born March 4, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

De La Cruz signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in October 2012. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Cubs in 2013 and pitched 2014 with them. In 2015 he played for the Eugene Emeralds. After missing the first two months of the 2016 season due to injury, De La Cruz appeared in three games with the Arizona League Cubs and Euguene, before pitching for the South Bend Cubs.

Eloy Jiménez

Eloy Arturo Solano Jiménez (born November 27, 1996) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Jiménez was considered the top international free agent for 2013. MLB.com lauded him as a 5-tool player, noting that during workouts he impressed scouts with his intelligence, speed, and gap-to-gap power. He signed with the Chicago Cubs in July 2013 for a $2.8 million signing bonus.

Jiménez made his professional debut in 2014 with the Arizona League Cubs, where he was limited to just 164 plate appearances due to a shoulder injury. When healthy, he reached base at a disappointing .268 clip. Still, scouts remained optimistic due to his young age and physical ability. Jiménez received a promotion to short-season single-A to start 2015 with the Eugene Emeralds. There, Jiménez fared considerably better, improving his on-base percentage to .328, and slugging 7 home runs in 250 plate appearances.

Cubs Director of Player Development Jaron Madison confirmed on January 17, 2016 that Jiménez would begin the 2016 season with low-A South Bend. Jiménez spent all of 2016 with South Bend where hit .329 with 14 home runs and 81 RBI's. After the season, the Cubs assigned Jiménez to the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League.

Eddy Julio Martínez

Eddy Julio Martinez (born January 18, 1995) is a Cuban professional baseball outfielder in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Martinez was considered a top international free agent for 2015. His signing came under some controversy as it was originally thought he had signed with the San Francisco Giants for a $2.5 million bonus, but other agents working for Martinez had worked out a $3 million bonus with the Chicago Cubs. On October 19, 2015 Major League Baseball sided with the Cubs and Martinez signed. Martinez spent the 2016 season with the South Bend Cubs where he posted a .254 batting average with 10 home runs and 67 RBI's.

Jordan Pries

Jordan Thomas Pries (born January 27, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Pries was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 30th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft out of Stanford University. He made his professional debut that season for the Everett AquaSox. In 2012, he played for the Arizona League Mariners and Clinton LumberKings and in 2013, he played for the High Desert Mavericks. He started 2014 with the Double-A Jackson Generals. After two starts he was promoted to Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers.

On July 20, 2016, the Mariners traded Pries and Mike Montgomery to the Chicago Cubs for Dan Vogelbach and Paul Blackburn. Pries joined the Iowa Cubs where he posted a 5-2 record with a 5.21 ERA.

Bijan Rademacher

Bijan D. Rademacher (born June 15, 1991) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Rademacher was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 13th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft out of Orange Coast College. He signed with the Cubs and made his professional debut that season with the Arizona League Cubs. He also played for the Boise Hawks and Peoria Chiefs that year. Rademacher started 2013 with the Kane County Cougars and was promoted to the Daytona Cubs during the season. He returned to Daytona in 2014. After the season he played in the Arizona Fall League. Rademacher spent all of 2015 with the Tennessee Smokies. There, he put up a .379 OBP, good for 8th in the Southern League. Rademacher began 2016 with the Smokies, and was later promoted to the Iowa Cubs. Rademacher finished 2016 with a .307 batting average, 10 home runs, and 44 RBI's.

Jose Rosario

Jose Rosario (born August 29, 1990) is a Dominican American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Rosario was born in New York and moved to the Dominican Republic when he was young. He signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in April 2008. The Cubs added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season.

Caleb Smith

Caleb Anthony Smith (born July 28, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Smith was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 16th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft out of Sam Houston State University. He made his professional debut for the Staten Island Yankees and also started one game for the Trenton Thunder. He finished 1–2 with a 1.93 earned run average (ERA) and 57 strikeouts over 51 1⁄3 innings in 14 games (10 starts). He started 2014 with the Charleston RiverDogs. He was named the South Atlantic League player of the week on April 28 after setting a RiverDogs strikeout record with 13.

On December 8, 2016, Smith was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2016 Rule 5 draft and then traded to the Chicago Cubs.

Jake Stinnett

Jake Douglas Stinnett (born April 25, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Stinnett played college baseball at the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2014. After his junior season he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 29th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. Stinnett did not sign with the Pirates and returned to Maryland for his senior season. On March 31, 2014, he threw a no-hitter against UMass. For his career, Stinnett went 14–11 with a 2.78 earned run average (ERA) with 197 strikeouts.

After his senior season, Stinnett was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He signed with the Cubs and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Cubs. He was later promoted to the Boise Hawks where he ended the year. Stinnett spent the 2015 season with the South Bend Cubs, where he put up a 4.46 ERA and 4.20 FIP. During the 2016 season, Stinnett played for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans where he posted a 9-4 record with a 4.27 ERA.

Duary Torrez

Daury DeJesus Torrez (born June 11, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization. Torrez signed with the Cubs as an international free agent in 2010 as a 17-year-old for a $25,000 signing bonus.

Torrez spent two years playing for the Cubs Dominican Summer League affiliate before earning a promotion state-side prior to the 2013 season. He posted a 3.31 ERA with the Arizona Rookie League Cubs in 2013 before earning a promotion to the Kane County Cougars, where he pitched five innings. Torrez would spend 2014 and 2015 with Kane County and the High-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans, where he posted a 2.74 and 3.75 ERA, respectively.

Torrez is regarded as a ground ball pitcher whose best pitch is his fastball, which sits between 90-92 mph. He also throws a slider and a changeup. MLB.com ranked him as the 29th best prospect in the Cubs minor league system entering 2016. Torrez stayed with Myrtle Beach during the 2016 season, where he posted a 2-2 record with a 3.56 ERA.

Duane Underwood, Jr.

Duane Lee Underwood, Jr. (born July 20, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Underwood was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the second round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft out of Alan C. Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia. He signed with the Cubs and made his professional debut that season with the Arizona League Cubs. He spent 2013 with the Boise Hawks and 2014 with the Kane County Cougars. For 2015, Underwood was promoted to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, where he posted a 2.58 ERA in 73.1 innings. Underwood spent 2016 with the Tennessee Smokies, South Bend Cubs, and Myrtle Beach Pelicans, where he posted an 0-6 record with a 4.32 ERA. After the season, Underwood played for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League and was added to the Cubs 40-man roster.

Ryan Williams

Ryan Arthur Williams (born November 1, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Williams played college baseball at East Carolina University. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 10th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut that year with the Arizona League Cubs and also pitched for the Boise Hawks. Williams pitched 2015 with the South Bend Cubs and Tennessee Smokies. He was named the Cubs Minor League Pitcher of the Year after going 14-3 with a 2.16 earned run average (ERA) and 98 strikeouts. Williams spent 2016 with the Iowa Cubs where he posted a 4-1 record with a 3.27 ERA.

Chesny Young

Martin Chesny Young (born October 6, 1992) is an American professional baseball infielder in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Peter attended the Marist School in Atlanta, Georgia and played college baseball at Mercer University. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 14th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. Young made his professional debut with the Arizona League Cubs and was later promoted to the Boise Hawks and Kane County Cougars that season. He played for the South Bend Cubs and Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2015 and Tennessee Smokies in 2016. After the 2016 season he played for the Águilas Cibaeñas of the Dominican Professional Baseball League.
