Biography
Charlie Thorpe is an Australian born female musician. She began her career as one-half of the musical duo “Dash and Will”.
Charlie signed to “Universal Music” at the age of 18 as well as signing a publishing deal with “Mushroom Records” as a songwriter.
During her touring years with Dash and Will, she toured with Justin Bieber on his 'My World' tour in Australia. She also toured with many other names including 2 tours with British indie rockers The Kooks.
Her song with Dash and Will, ‘Fighting Over Nothing’ came in at #19 on the ARIA Hitseekers Chart *2008: Fighting Over Nothing (#19 ARIA Hitseekers Chart)
Charlie appeared on numerous Australian television programs, including children show Saturday Disney and music quiz shows RocKwiz and 'Spicks and Specks'. She also hosted four episodes of a music-based show for kids, The Go Show, on the Foxtel channel Nickelodeon.
After Dash and Will disbanded, Charlie continued her songwriting career, writing songs for other artists and collaborating with producers such as Grammy award winning producer, M-Phazes as well as Deadmau5’s newly signed artist 'Attlas', and Australian producer 'Sunset Child'.
Her song covered by German artist Femme Schmidt received acclaim in a Twitter post by Coldplay’s Chris Marten.
Charlie is completing her first solo record under the artist name 'Charlz' due for release in 2017.
