Biography
Cedarian "CeeDee" Lamb (born April 8, 1999) is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Oklahoma and was drafted by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Ceedee played three seasons for the Oklahoma Sooners and started in 40 games.
Early years
Lamb was born in Opelousas, Louisiana. Lamb lived in New Orleans until his family evacuated to Houston due to Hurricane Katrina. Lamb attended John and Randolph Foster High School in Richmond, Texas. As a senior in 2016, he had 98 receptions for 2,032 yards and 33 touchdowns. Out of high school Lamb was rated a 4-Star recruit by 247Sports.com, Rivals.com and ESPN, and he had offers from 20 NCAA Division 1 teams including schools with notable football programs such as University of Alabama and University of Texas.Lamb committed to the University of Oklahoma on July 25, 2016, to play college football.
College career
As a true freshman at Oklahoma in 2017, Lamb played in all 14 games with 13 starts and had 46 receptions for 807 yards and seven touchdowns. Lamb's 807 yards broke the freshman receiving record at the University of Oklahoma. His sophomore year he was a leading contributor in the Sooners 12-2 record and playoff appearance. He caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 11 touchdowns while starting in 13 games. In 2018 Ceedee helped the Sooners achieve their first season to have two receivers catch for over 1,000 yards alongside wide receiver Marquise Brown. CeeDee also had career high of 8 receptions for 109 yards and 1 touchdown against the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2018 College football playoff Orange Bowl.
In 2019, Lamb was named a first-team All-American after catching 62 passes for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award for best college football receiver.
On December 29, 2019, Lamb announced that he would forgo his senior year and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
