Biography
Harold Carlyle Liscombe (May 17, 1915 – February 24, 2004) was a Detroit Red Wings hockey player in the 1940s. He was the last surviving member of Red Wings 1943 Stanley Cup team.
Playing career
Liscombe was a key member of the 1943 Stanley Cup champions, and scored 36 goals. He shares the team record for most goals in a playoff game and most points in a game.
He spent the rest of his career in the American Hockey League, and was a two-time Most Valuable Player. In 1949, Liscombe helped the Providence Reds win the Calder Cup. He died of complications from leukemia.
