Early life
Brian D. Turk was born on May 29, 1970 in Northglenn, Colorado.
Career
Turk made his acting debut in 1993 with a small role in the "The Paper Chase" episode of television series, Step by Step. In 1994, he was seen playing the character of "Spike" in two episodes of Saved by the Bell: The New Class: The People's Choice, and Squash It.
In 1995, he landed the role of Tiny in the hit television series, Beverly Hills, 90210.
Turk gained recognition in 2003 with his recurring role of "Gabriel" in the award-winning television drama, Carnivàle. He appeared in 24 episodes in the years 2003-2005.
Two years later, in 2007, he was seen playing the character of "Mike" in "Large Birds, Spiders and Mom" episode of Two and a Half Men.
He was last seen in early 2017 in the "Under Siege" episode of television series, NCIS: Los Angeles.
Death
In early 2018, a year after his last appearance in 2017, Turk was diagnosed with brain cancer, which became terminal in March 2019.
In July 2019, his high school friend, Carlos Marlene Montiel, created a GoFundMe page for people to support Turk’s cancer treatment. The page had raised around $35,000 for the cause. Unfortunately, Turk died on September 13, 2019 Orange, California. He is survived by his wife, Emily Wu, and a young son.
