Biography

Robert "Bob" Chaperon (born 18 May 1958) is a Canadian retired professional snooker and billiards player.

Career

Chaperon's greatest achievement was winning the 1990 British Open, beating Alex Higgins 10–8 in the final. He reached at least one other ranking quarter-final, the 1987 Grand Prix. He also won the World Cup with Canada in 1990 and the Canadian Snooker Championship in 1981, defeating Carey Lorraine in Ottawa. He started slipping down the rankings in the 1990s and retired in 2003. He still plays in tournaments in North America.
