Biography

Bo Ivar Svensson, född 4 maj 1960 i Östersund, är en svensk statsvetare.

Svensson disputerade 1999 vid Umeå universitet på en avhandlingen Politics and Business in the Barents Region. Han verkade därefter på Statens institut för regional forskning innan han 2002 blev chef för European Tourism Research Institute. Samma år blev han docent i statsvetenskap vid Mittuniversitetet. Svenssons forskning rör främst turism utifrån dels ett governanceperspektiv, dels ett hållbarhetsperspektiv.
