Bishnu Majhi

Bishnu Majhi (Nepali: विष्णु माझी) is a Nepalese folk singer fromSyangja, Nepal. She has been singing Nepali folk, festive and modern lok dohori song for last fifteen years. She is known as the "Vocal Queen of Nepali folk singer" having recorded over 10,000 Plus songs during this time. Much of her music revolved around the themes of love and patriotism. Despite of continuous recording and fame till date, She has not been seen publicly since 2008 which spread several rumors about her and Per Song 1,00,000 Nepalese rupee Hit Song Salko Patko Tapari and more 500 plus songs.

She was born on June 26, 1986 in the neighborhood of Chapakot (Ratnapur-05) located in Syangja. When she was 15 years old she went to Butwal Mahatsobh (बुटवल महत्सव) for her live Dohori singing competition. When she was singing, everyone who heard her was extremely impressed. Sundar Mani Adhikari (Singer/Composer) had taken Bishnu Majhi from Syanja showing her a dream of making a singer. Bishnu’s dream came true but the presence of Sundar Mani in her real life made her life a nightmare. After a relationship of living together with Sundarmani Adhikari for 8 years, she got married to him in December 2013 at Pokhara.

During the initial days, she used to earn Rs. 2,500 for singing one song and as time passed she started earning Rs. One Lakh for each song she sang and known as the Richestsinger of Nepal. She has reached the height of popularity in Nepal as a folk artist. Her Songs has been hits on more than 100 Million on YouTube and iTunes.

She has sung over 10,000 Nepali folk songs also known as Lok dohori. Many of her songs achieved several million views on youtube as well. Some of the famous songs are as follows.
