Biography
Bhusan Chettri is a son of Mr. Tilak Chettri and Mrs. Krishna Maya Thapa and husband of Namrata Bora. He was born in Pakyong, A small town in South Sikkim India.
Bhusan's early education was done in Sikkim India. He did B-Tech and M-Tech & MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. Later worked on the position of Assistant and Associate Professor in Sikkim Manipal University. In 2012 he switched to England for further studies. Bhusan did M.Sc in speach and language processing from University of Sheffield. Later received the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in 2020.
Bhusan Chettri is further researching on machine learning and AI for sound and speech with a strong focus on explainable AI (understanding how a model forms its decisions). Bhusan's main research focuses on machine learning and its applications to speaker recognition, spoofing and countermeasures for robust speaker recognition.
