Biography
Bert Yarnall was a Scottish footballer who played for Airdrieonians, achieving record results in 1916–17. Yarnall finished as the top scorer in the Scottish Football League Division One in that season, scoring 39 goals. This was the highest single-season total ever recorded for the club. Yarnall's career stats are as follows: 1913/14 Blackpool - 9 matches / 1 goal; 1916/17 Airdrie - 33 / 39; 1917/18 Airdrie - 13 / 6; 1917/18 Clydebank - 13 / 5; 1918/19 Dumbarton - 14 / 0; 1919/20 Reading - 5 / 1.
