Biography
Babu Ram Pokharel was an Nepali founder schoolmaster and a former Member of Parliament, in Nepal. He died at the age of 67 due to heart complications. He was rushed to Norvic hospital after falling down in the toilet around 6 a.m in his Kathmandu residence. He was declared dead on arrival at 7:15.
Pokharel was elected a member of the second Constituent Assembly 2013 from the then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic). He was a former president of Private Boarding School Association of Nepal, PABSON. Dr. Pokharel was the founder principal of V.S. Niketan Higher Secondary School.
