HOFBAUER Aurél estis hungara/rumanihungara publicisto, politikisto naskita en Vilagoŝo en 1867 kaj mortinta en Târgu Mureș la 7-an de junio 1928.

Hofbauer Aurél finis juron kaj li fariĝis oficisto en Marosvásárhely, vicurbestro, urbestro Marosvásárhely. Li estis respondecredaktoro de Székely Lapok (1901–05). Li estis ano de KZST. Li publikigis en Keleti Újság kaj Ellenzék, Zord Idő; li estis unu el aŭtoroj de la Marosvásárhelyi Almanach (Mv. 1920).
