Biography
Augustin Mair, auch Augustin Mayer, CRSA (* 1485 in Lehrbei Ulm; † 25. November 1543) war ein deutscher Weihbischof in Freising, Basel und Würzburg.
1502 trat Mair bei den Augustiner-Chorherren in Wengen ein. Ab 1513 studiert er Theologie und wurde 1521 für den Orden zum Priester geweiht.
Am 8. Juni 1523 wurde er zum Titularbischof von Salona und Weihbischof in Freising ernannt. Sein Bischofsweihe erhielt er am 13. Dezember 1523. Im März 1527 wurde er zum Weihbischof in Basel ernannt und im Oktober 1536 in Würzburg. Zusätzlich war er in Würzburg Domprediger.
Er war Mitkonsekrator bei der Bischofsweihe von Michael Helding.
