Biography
Attila Konnyu also known as Attila JK (born in 1963) is a Hungarian painter, sculptor and architect, currently residing in Palm Beach, Florida.
Early life
Attila Konnyu was born in Budapest, Hungary, where he studied architecture at Ybl Miklos University. Following graduation, he worked with Hungarian Television (MTV) and MAFILM Budapest. as a film producer. His early fascination with the art of abstract Expressionists brought him to the art studio of Miklos Kolozsvari Grandpierre, where he received his first instruction in art. Upon meeting Emil Schumacher and Karel Appel, Konnyu departed on his journey of gestural painting as a way of his self-expression.

Konnyu has helped raise funds for several foundations including:

- Best Buddies International Organization, founded by Mr. Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Miami Beach, FL;

- Hungarian Knights of Malta, Budapest, Hungary.
Current
Attila Konnyu is represented by the ICFA & Erdesz Gallery in Palm Beach, Florida, and Konnyu's studio is located in downtown Delray Beach, Florida.
