Biography
Astrid Gjertsen (born 14 September 1928) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. She was Minister of Administration and Consumer Affairs 1981–1986. She was born in Denmark, making her Norway's first government minister with an immigrant background. In 1973 she was elected as a member to the Norwegian Parliament from Aust-Agder, and she was reelected on three occasions.
