Biography
Arcot N. Veeraswami (Tamil: ஆற்காடு வீராசாமி)is the former minister for electricity in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He was born in Kuppadichatham village in Tamil Nadu on 21-April-1937. He has finished his school education before he actively engaged in politics. He is the member of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party for a long time and has been elected to Tamil Nadu assembly six times.
Jayalalitha defamation case
Former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalitha filed a defamation case against Veeraswami when he alleged her for involvement in the attack on the residence of the then Chief secretary.
