Biography
Dr Arbinder Kumar Singal is a noted paediatric urologist and a healthcare entrepreneur based in Mumbai, India. He specialises in paediatric urology, a surgical branch of medicine that focuses on the diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs in children.
Career
Dr. Singal completed his medical graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and subsequently his residency in surgery and super-specialisation in Pediatric Surgery from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India AIIMS. He further trained under Dr Rama Jayanthi and Dr Stephen Koff at Nationwide Childrens hospital USA in the field of Pediatric urology in the year 2005/2006. Singal is known to have contributed to creating and raising awareness about the prevalence and common yet neglected paediatric urological disorders such as hypospadias. He also has developed a catheter specifically designed to be used in the surgical correction of hypospadias. Dr. Singal is an outspoken commentator on paediatric urology and related issues that concern public health.
Singal is the co-founder of Mediangels, an India-based multi-speciality 'e-hospital' service provider, managed by Angels Health Private Limited, a private medical consulting firm. Singal is also associated with the Vandana Jain led hospital, Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute, Navi Mumbai. Dr Singal is also the founder director of MITR Hospital a superspecialty surgery centre for short stay surgeries in the field of urology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics and gastrointestinal diseases. The hospital has received favorable reviews and news for unique surgeries and cases.
in December 2016, Dr Singal led the acquisition of MediAngels.com by 1 mg.com, a noted epharmacy player in India.
