Andy Nguyen

Andy Nguyen (Vietnamese: Nguyễn Xuân Khánh) (born 1993) is a Vietnamese New Zealand academic specialising in information systems and education technology. He completed his PhD at the University of Auckland.

Nguyen was born on 19 September 1993, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He was highly interested in biology and natural sciences. At grade 9, he achieved 3rd prize at the HCM Provincial Excellent student contest. He came to New Zealand for study and got into the bachelor programme at the University of Auckland at seventeen.

After working as a business analyst, Nguyen came back to study and achieved his first-class honours (BCom (Hons)) then, at 25, he completed his PhD in information systems at the University of Auckland.
