Biography
Andre' Moreau is a prime news anchor at WAFB-TV, Baton Rouge's CBS affiliate. He co-anchors the station's top rated 6 and 10 PM newscasts with long-time journalist Donna Britt.
Moreau left his post as lead sports anchor at WAFB in early 1994 and joined WCMH-TV NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio. He was part of a sports staff named Best in Ohio by the AP, and just months after arriving was tapped as 'Live at 5 Guy' for NBC4.
He began his broadcast career in 1985 as a sports anchor in Alexandria, LA and within 80 days, moved to Lafayette, LA at KATC-TV as lead sports anchor and the face of USL's (ULL) coaches shows. His first run at WAFB was from 1987 to 1994 as lead sports anchor. After WCMH in Columbus, 1994-1998, came Fox 2 WJBK Detroit. His final year at NBC4, he moved into the news anchor chair and he has remained ever since. After a year in Top 10 Detroit, André became reporter-anchor at KCAL-TV in Los Angeles and in 2003, anchor-reporter at KFMB-TV, CBS 8 in San Diego.
In San Diego, Andre' won an Emmy for anchoring during the wildfires of 2008. Later that year, he was called home by WAFB, to take over for the retiring George Sells, who had anchored for more than two decades alongside Britt.
