Biography
Amir Farmanesh (Persian: امیر فرمنش, born 1979) is a social entrepreneur and an applied social researcher. He is the co-founder and current CEO and president of People Analytics Inc., and its subsidiary IranPoll.
Filling a long-standing void on global knowledge of Iranian people’s opinions, IranPoll’s opinion researches have been widely utilized and cited by academia and think tanks including University of Maryland, Harvard University, Princeton University, Cornell University, the United States Institute of Peace, the Brookings Institution, the Atlantic Council, the Wilson Center, the Munich Security Conference, the Middle East Institute, the Carnegie Endowment, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Center for Strategic and International Studies, The Washington Quarterly, Foreign Affairs, Al Jazeera Center for Studies, and McKinsey Global Institute.
Farmanesh has also served as a visiting professor at the University of Toronto, an Edmond Safra fellow with Harvard University, an Erasmus Mundus fellow with the European Commission, and a Mirzayan policy fellow with the U.S. National Academy of Sciences.
