Biography
Aloke Mukherjee is a retired former International Footballer and is contemplated as one of the greatest Indian left back of all time. He was active as a footballer from 1978 to 1997.He was named in the All Time best Eleven Indian Team by veteran legendary Footballer & Coach PK. Banerjee.He is currently working as Deputy General Manager & Joint Director-Food ( Gazetted Officer) in Food Corporation of India.
Early life
Aloke Mukherjee son of Late Jiban Krishna Mukherjee & Renuka Mukherjee was born in Ichapur North 24 Parganas of West Bengal and is a graduate from Anandamath College of the University of Calcutta.During his school days, he participated inter-school tournaments and various under height in different districts of West Bengal.

Coaching
Aloke Mukherjee has also accomplished compelling height in coaching. He was head coach of all big three accomplished big clubs of Bengal - Mohunbagan(2003), East Bengal(2008) & Mohammedan sporting club(2012,13) & achieved satisfactory result.Under his coaching Mohunbagan club has won last IFA Shield in 2003 defeating arch rival East Bengal club.AS Asstt. coach of senior India he participated in various tournaments like Asian Games, LG Cup(Winner in 2003), Afro Asian Games, Pre-World Cup, SAF Games etc. He was chief coach of India in 2003 Saf games held at Islamabad where India was runners up and recipient of the silver medal. Aloke Mukherjee was two times coach of Senior Bengal in Santosh Trophy. Under his coaching Bengal U-21 team became a champion in Balia, Uttar Pradesh.
