Alice Janowski
Quick Facts
Biography
Alice Janowski was a Canadian ballplayer who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Alice Janowski was one of the 57 players born in Canada to join the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in its twelve-year history. According to the league's data, Janowski was assigned for the Fort Wayne Daisies during its 1951 season. Nevertheless, additional information is incomplete because there are no records available at the time of the request.
The AAGPBL folded in 1954, but there is a permanent display at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum at Cooperstown, New York since November 5, 1988, that honors the entire league rather than any individual figure. Then in 1998, Janowski and all Canadian AAGPBL players gained honorary induction into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
