Alex Melen is an Award-Winning Serial Entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of web hosting company T35 Hosting and advertising agency Melen, LLC (dba SmartSites).
Career
Melen started T35 Hosting in 1999, growing it to over 600,000 clients by 2009. In 2011, Melen Co-Founded advertising agency Melen, LLC with his younger brother Michael Melen. Melen also founded SocialJump, a social media marketing agency that was featured on NPR.
Awards and recognition
In 2001, YoungBiz Magazine named Melen one of the top 100 Young Entrepreneurs in America. In 2006 Melen received the Babson College Student Business of the Year Award and was named one of BusinessWeek's Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25. In 2009, Melen was a presenter at ResellerClub's HostingCon and T35 Hosting was featured in Bloomberg Top 101 Best Freebies. In November 2012, Melen was invited to the White House by President Barack Obama to meet with the administration about young entrepreneurship. Melen was also featured in the Empact Top 100 Showcase for 2013 and 2014. In October 2016, Melen was a featured speaker on Marketing in a Cut-Throat Industry at Penton's HostingCon Europe 2016 in Amsterdam. Melen is also a featured speaker at HostingCon Global, scheduled for April 6, 2017.
