Biography
Professor Alejandro Armellini is the Director of the Institute of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at the University of Northampton, England. Prior to this, he worked at the University of Leicester. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) since 2015, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2007.
His research focuses on learning innovation, online pedagogy, course design in online environments, institutional capacity building and open practices. Armellini has used, researched and refined the structured CAIeRO(also known as Carpe Diem workshops) to help academics design engaging courses, benefitting from learning technologies.
