Akai Draco (born February 18, 1970) is an American television actor known for his role as Sheriff Derrick in the television series Dallas.
Life and career
Akai Draco was born Sean Turner on February 18, 1970, in Bethesda, Maryland. He took his pseudonym, Akai Draco, from two different languages: Akai means "red" in Japanese and Draco, "dragon" in Latin. He worked in software/information technology for many years before entering the show business.
He made his screen debut in 2006 with a minor role in Ericson Core's Invincible—a biographical drama about football legend Vince Papale (portrayed by Mark Wahlberg.) The same year, he played C.O. in the "Buried" episode of the TV series Prison Break.
In 2011, Draco was seen as Kevin Fort in M. Legend Brown's short drama Kissed by the Devil, with Khadijah Karriem, Shaun Baker, and Karen Malina White.
In 2012-2014, Draco portrayed the character of Sheriff Derrick in Steve Robin's hit television series Dallas, appearing alongside Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, and Julie Gonzalo.
Most recently, in 2017, Draco was seen in two episodes of Ryan Defrates: Secret Agent.
In recent years, Draco has settled with his family in Dallas, Texas.
