Ajay Kumar Lallu (born 11 April 1979) is an Indian politician from Indian National Congress. He is currently the President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committe and a member of 16th and 17th Legislative Assembly of Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh of India. he represents the Tamkuhi Raj constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Indian National Congress.
Early life and education
Lallu was born in Seorahi, Kushinagar to his father Shri Shivnath Prasad. He is unmarried till now. He belongs to Backward caste (Kandu, Mudheshia-Vaishya). In 2001, he received Post Graduate in Political science from Kishan PG Collage Seorahi, Kushinagar.
Political career
Ajay Kumar Lallu is Current UPCC President and serving as two time MLA. Since 2012, he has represented Tamkuhi Raj (Kushinagar) constituency as a member of Indian National Congress.
- In 2012 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, elections, he defeated Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Nand Kishor Mishra by a margin of 5,860 votes.
- In 2017 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, elections, he again defeated Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Jagadish Mishra by a margin of 18,114 votes.
- In June 2019 he was Appointed as Leader of the Congress Legislative Party (UP).
- In October 2019, he was Appointed as President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee
